Management Accountant
about the role
The Management Accountant works directly alongside the Chief Financial Officer and manages the financially focused aspects of the business, including monthly and annual financial reporting, job reviews with operations, invoicing, and actual vs budget costings.
key responsiblities
- Manage day-to-day financial and accounting operations, ensuring work tasks and business financial requirements are met
- Support the CFO in preparing all required financial reporting and analysis
- Process end-of-month procedures in line with the reporting timetable and deadlines
- Attend meetings regularly to assist other areas of the business with job costing and ensure invoicing is carried out weekly
- Attend meetings regularly for managing debt collections
- Assist all departments with Work In Progress (WIP) management and best-practice processes
- Work closely with service team members to review job costings, ensure invoicing (including warranty work) is completed weekly, and confirm all costs are captured
- Review machine capital capitalisations, disposals, transfers and revaluations prepared by the Assistant Accountant in a timely manner
- Provide machine costings for proposals
- Prepare weekly reports as required
about you
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commercial, with a CPA qualification preferred
- Good level of financial, and management accounting knowledge with minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office product knowledge, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Knowledge, exposure and experience with Pronto or equivalent ERP system
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Customer focused with a commitment to solution delivery, exceeding customer expectations
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent time management
