Service & Technical Manager


About the role


This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving safe, profitable and high-quality service delivery, managing our Field Service team, and ensuring strong customer outcomes across workshop, conveyor services, repairs, rebuilds and refurbishment activities.


The role is supported by a Regional Manager and Parts Supervisor, with full ownership of service planning, resourcing and execution within the Service & Technical function.


Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end performance of the Service & Technical department, including operational delivery, financial performance, people leadership and safety.

Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage all workshop, field and site-based service operations
  • Plan, schedule and resource all service and technical activities
  • Manage and support the Field Service team to deliver high-quality customer outcomes
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time and to OEM and quality standards
  • Oversee repairs, rebuilds and refurbishment of equipment
  • Coordinate field service, workshop and production activities
  • Manage facilities, plant, fleet and company assets at the Goodna site
  • Prepare quotations and estimates in line with labour and market conditions
  • Control department budgets, invoicing and work in progress
  • Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, develop and performance-manage service personnel
  • Champion health, safety and environmental compliance across the department

Requirements


  • Relevant Trade or Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Fabrication or Electrical)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in workshop or service management
  • Experience managing Field Service teams (highly desirable)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
