EvoQuip Caiman 150 Impresses at AORA: Live Demo Puts Performance to the Test
We recently had the opportunity to take part in the AORA Demo Day and Conference – a standout event on the industry calendar that brings together leaders, operators, suppliers, and innovators from across Australia’s organics and recycling sectors. With a focus on practical solutions and future-focused thinking, the event offered the perfect platform to showcase one of the most exciting pieces of equipment in our current line-up: the EvoQuip Caiman 150.
The AORA Demo Day is unique in its ability to offer live, in-field demonstrations of equipment under real working conditions. It’s one thing to read a spec sheet – it’s another thing entirely to see a machine in action, pushing through actual feed material, and adapting to the environment around it. And this year, the Caiman 150 didn’t just perform — it exceeded expectations.
From the moment it fired up, all eyes were on the Caiman. The machine’s compact design made it easy to transport and manoeuvre within the demonstration site, but don’t let its size fool you – the Caiman packed serious power. It handled varied organic waste streams with ease, delivering consistent throughput and minimal blockages, even as conditions shifted throughout the day.
A key highlight of the day was having Andrew Cathcart, Training and Applications Manager from EvoQuip, on-site to work hands-on with the machine. Andrew collaborated closely with our team to fine-tune the Caiman to suit the specific feed material on the day — demonstrating EvoQuip’s commitment to not just supplying equipment, but ensuring it performs optimally for the task at hand. His expertise gave visitors a unique behind-the-scenes look at the thought and adaptability that goes into machine set-up and configuration.
At MPS, we pride ourselves on working closely with our OEM business partners like EvoQuip to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers. From initial machine selection through to commissioning, operator training, and ongoing support, our approach is built around supporting the full lifecycle of equipment – ensuring our customers are set up for long-term success.
Beyond the technical performance, the demo created a valuable space for genuine interaction. Attendees were encouraged to get up close to the machine, ask questions, and explore its features first-hand. It was a great opportunity for customers and industry professionals to engage with a product in a hands-on environment — something that’s often missing from traditional showroom or sales settings.
Following the demo day, the energy continued at the AORA Conference Expo, where we had the chance to speak further with industry stakeholders about the role of compact, efficient machinery in meeting today’s recycling and organics challenges. Conversations ranged from machine applications to broader sustainability goals — all reinforcing the importance of investing in the right equipment for long-term success.
We’re proud to represent EvoQuip in the Australian market and excited by the strong response to the Caiman 150. Whether you're involved in green waste processing, composting, or broader recycling applications, the Caiman offers a compelling mix of power, flexibility, and simplicity.
Thanks again to everyone who came along to the demo, visited us at the expo, or took the time to chat. We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation – and helping more customers discover how EvoQuip can elevate their operations.
